TOPIC: UNEXPECTED CELEBRATIONS
SCRIPTURE: “And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.” (John 6: 4)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. Passover was a recognized, scheduled feast of the Jews. Everyone knew when the expect Passover. Before the expected feast of Passover, Jesus granted a feast to the multitude that besieged him. Before the expected feast, Jesus granted them an unexpected feast. Before it was time for the scheduled feast, Jesus brought an unscheduled feast.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to walk into unscheduled celebrations. You are about to walk into divine provisions that are not in your plans. You are about to carry that evidence that will come earlier than expected. You are about to witness uncommon divine visitations that you did not plan for. You are about to have a feast before your Passover. You are about to receive unexpected results before your expected results.
As the multitude came to Jesus, they had no idea that a feast was about to come their way, before the expected Passover feast. They had no idea that something great was cooking ahead of time. Hear me as I hear the Lord: something great is coming your way; unexpected mega results are on the way to you; miracles you did not plan for are coming your way; favours you did not pray for are coming your way. Unexpected feasts are loading.
You serve a God who serves unexpected feasts before the expected feasts. You serve a God who is able to make major miracles come your way when you least expect them. Get set: in this season, pleasant surprises await you; in this season, what you never imagined will come your way; in this season, your water will turn into wine; in this season, your bread will multiply; in this season, you will wake up to good news you didn’t expect.
Welcome to your season of unexpected celebrations. Welcome to your season of miracles you least expected.
Psalm 16: 5 says: “The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.”
